BLACK CINEMA: 8 films we must support this year

Post By RelatedRelated Post

In the world of film, the first quarter of 2014 has been pretty impressive for African American films.

With success in the box office for movies like Ride Along, About Last Night, Repentance, The Single Mom’s Club and A Haunted House II it seems major studios are starting to get the picture, that black people love movies too! Fortunately, for movie buffs we still have the rest of the year to see powerful films that feature some of Hollywood Hottest Stars.

Here are a list of films that we must get out and support:

1. Frankie and Alice Starring: Halle Berry, Phylicia Rashad, Chandra Wilson, Stellan Skarsgard / In theaters now

This film is based on the true story of an African American go-go dancer “Frankie” who struggles with multiple personalities disorder (Dissociative identity disorder or “DID”). Frankie is fighting to maintain her sanity against two very unique alter egos.
