63% of Americans Believe Blacks Are Mostly Responsible for Their Own Condition

Post By RelatedRelated Post

Blacks were property during slavery, then there was Jim Crow, and blacks weren’t initially even included in the New Deal. We could go on to list the ways in which blacks have been systematically disenfranchised in America, including redlining, but somehow, a majority of Americans still believe that blacks who can’t get ahead are mostly responsible for their own condition.

A Pew Research poll found that most Americans believe that if blacks are struggling, it’s their own fault.

From Vox:

Nationally, 63 percent say “blacks who can’t get ahead are mostly responsible for their own condition” versus 27 percent who say “racial discrimination is the main reason why many black people can’t get ahead these days.” That’s more than two-to-one.

  1. Yea right we responsible for our own condition?..blah, blah, blah,
if we wouldn’t been slaves we might would have been ahead more but due to the fact that the White Man think’s he’s superior he kept us down by his discrimination in the workplace – hiring a white less qualified – not giving us proper tools to work with in school. Still some of us were able to push thru with the help of God and get those degrees which qualified us for the better jobs. You are still discriminating against us – look how racists the justice system is – the police, health care – some doctors just let us die – or give us the cheaper medication while they save the whites lives – please you are responsible for whats happening to us – not us – you hate the color of our skin and the texture of our hair. Just blame it on the black man, just blame it
    on the black man. Bull!!

  2. You just go sister!!! Tell it because we are all screwed up man!!! I wonder what the end looks like….

  3. It’s sad some people think so. I have just written a posting which says as follows: “This is bad news Mark Mayfield killed himself. But the public and especially those who did not graduate from college should be surprised this guy was a lawyer and TP leader – a racist group. Remember this was an educated man with a head stuffed with legal knowledge. He should have known that TP is a racist group with tax reduction pretext as mission. Now I believe racism is a disease like cancer. I thought people who graduated from college are more aware of their environment than those who did not. It seems some college and non-college graduates behave the same and participate in stupid activities like being in TP. No doubt Jesse Ventura ruled Minnesota and now we have Walker ruling Wisconsin despite they never graduated from college. We have brilliant college graduates in Wisconsin. I am not surprised sometimes we have federal district and 7th appeal court dumb rulings which are sometimes caught and reversed by the US Supreme Court. Is that not sad we have dumb college graduate? Any Rebuttal!

Ok, so let’s look at the college graduates:

George Bush – two unfunded wars costing trillion$

Dick Cheney – advocated meddling in other countries affairs, torturing terrorist suspects

Barack Obama – NDAA no habeas corpus, indefinite detention of US citizens/drone strikes on US citizens. failed in enact single payer healthcare.

Bill and Hillary Clinton – NAFTA responsible for US jobs leaving the country, cut welfare program length so people are cut off and made to suffer when said jobs are nowhere to be found

The bankers on Wall Street who wrecked the economy – Foreclosures all over the place, massive job losses, economy still hasn’t recovered to this day

Yep, those college grads really worked out well for us, didn’t they?

  4. Many years ago, Net sports activities book betting was risky.
‘The teams, the broadcast contract and our showcase games this year
are going to generate tremendous excitement about this League and the great seasons to come.
So besides the fact that both sports are being played with
11 players on the field, the similarity ends here.
