A Minneapolis man is confirmed as the second American to have died alongside militants in Syria.
Abdirahmaan Muhumed, 29, was a father of nine who reportedly dιed while fighting alongside the terrοr group ISIS.
As BreakingBrown reported last week, Douglas McAuthur McCain was the first American to dιe while fighting for ISIS.
According to The Daily Mail, two sources have confirmed Muhumed’s identity, while the State Department says that they’re still looking into the allegations.
Muhumed, who was Somali-American, was reportedly identified as a person who had been radicalized by terrοrist forces.
Sources say he was swayed by jihad rap videos which make guerrilla warfare look cool.
Muhumed, who was under investigation by the FBI, was pictured in Syria photographed with an AK-47.
Journalist Mukhtar Ibrahim, who interviewed Muhumed, said the jihadist wanted to “bring back the caliphate.”
Muhumed wrote that he was not concerned with the beliefs of others.
He wrote: “Family is not gonna save me frm [sic] hεll fire because muslims are getting kill[ed] and if I just sit here i will be ask in the [hereafter].”
He added, “I give up this worldly life for Allah.”
He also wrote that ISIS is “trying to bring back the Khilaafa’ and that ‘Allah loves those who fight for his cause.”
Muhumed and McCain are the only two Americans who have dιed fighting for ISIS so far, according to reports.
McCain, 33, went from an aspiring rapper who was once an “all smiling” high school student to an ISIS fιghter. His family says he was once a Christian and even after his conversion to Islam, supported the religious beliefs of others.
According to reports, McCain tweeted about becoming a “warrior” and went to Syria to join his “brothers.”
He was found deαd with an American passport and $800 cash.
