A recent photo that is going viral reminds us that it is never too late for happiness, reports The Daily Mail. A picture of Millie Taylor-Morrison, 86, in a stunning purple wedding dress that she designed, has blown up online after being posted to the Love What Matters page, earning over 97,000 likes and several thousand shares.
The photo was accompanied by a heartfelt message from granddaughter, Khadija Elkharbibi, who took the photo.
“This is my beautiful grandmother, Millie Taylor-Morrison, who was married over the weekend at 86 years old,” Elkharbibi posted. “This is a true testament that age is just a number and everyone can find love again.
She just turned 86 one week ago, and her new husband will be 86 in December. “My grandmother was married to my grandfather for 41 years when he passed away. She found love again almost 25 years later and our family couldn’t be happier for her. “This is a true testament that age is just a number and everyone can find love again.”
Interestingly, she has known her new husband, Harold Morrison, for decades, with him even serving as a guest to her first wedding.
“I cannot put it into words – I feel so blessed,” Ms.Morrison told The Daily Mail. Elkharbibi is handling much of the media interest in her grandmother and added that she is absolutely thrilled regarding her newfound fame, which she had no idea was going to happen. Elkharbibi also shared the story behind her grandmother’s wedding dress.
“Nana started the process in July with a clear idea in her head of what she envisioned herself looking like,” she explained. “She had one of her church members, Mathew Purefoy—who sketches—draw the dress, based off her description of how she wanted it to look. She then took the sketch to designer, Marco Hall, who brought the dress to life.”
