“I’ve got the Grim Reaper on the ATV, and Obama’s head is on the spear and he has been decαpitated,” Richard Piersol told KBOI-TV.
Piersol’s not lying. In his yard, right next to the Reaper, is an Obama mask attached to a wooden spear.
Asked for the reasoning behind his display, Piersol explained that he was driven by his opposition to Obama as well as the recent ISIS beheαdings.
He says his freedom of speech gives him the right to do this but also insists that he’s not racist.
“It’s like free speech. I am pretty much saying I don’t like his politics, and I don’t like him. That’s it,” he explained.
Piersol says his African-American friends were among those encouraging him to go even further with his Halloween decoration.
“I’ve got a couple of African American friends of mine that have given me more ideas to put out there to make it look gorier. And it’s like ‘no, I don’t want to do that,” he explained. “That might offend somebody.’”
Piersol says his Obama display is a hit with local cops.
“I’ve had three police officers stop and take pictures and give me the thumbs up,” he bragged.
Piersol is not the only person to use Halloween to express their disdain for President Obama.
Dwayne Dockens of Oklahoma outraged his neighbor after erεcting a Halloween headstone with the name “Obama” and what appears to be blοοd dripping down from the name.
“He is the president of the United States, and it actually is about respect,” said Dockens’ neighbor, Jamila Phillips, . “It’s a total respect thing because this person is still alive.”
Dockens explained that this isn’t his first time putting up the display.
“We made them a few years ago back when it was a big deal, questions up about his birth certificate,” Dockens said. “And we made all these ourselves, so just thought it was kind of humorous and, you know, went ahead and put him in there, as well.”
Neither man has any plans of removing their display.
