It turns out that Tyler Perry is going to be a father in the near future. According the sources at Bossip.com, the mother of the child is 28-year old Ethiopian model Gelila Bekele. Tyler didn’t want to reveal the name of the mother, but when someone of his stature has a baby on the way, people love to start snooping.
Perry is 45-years old and this is his first child. It might be surprising that a man who makes Christian movies for a living is having a child out of wedlock, but since when did that matter to anyone? There has also been the haunting speculation that Tyler would never have a child with a woman, since some believe that he prefers to date men. Aaron McGruder, creater of “The Boondocks” got into big trouble for mocking Perry’s Madea character and sending a strong signal that he believes that Perry is in the business of using his platform to attract handsome men.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Tyler is going to have plenty of money for diapers and baby formula. His net worth is a stunning $400 million dollars. So, with that kind of money, you can pretty much do whatever you want, and no one is going to question you all that much.
If Gelila is the mother, this will simply be the latest of her achievements.
Here’s more about the model, based on her website:
Gelila Bekele was born in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa. As a young child, the future top-model moved with her family to Europe. Then one day, after having relocated to the United States, Gelila’s life changed when an advertising art director discovered her on the way to school. Ultimately she signed with Ford Models and her career on the runways of New York and Europe took off.
In a few short years Gelila has posed for the world’s top designers and been featured in major advertising campaigns. The almond-skinned beauty is perhaps best known for her full, curly hair that has graced beauty campaigns for Pantene Pro-V and L’Oreal, as well as fashion magazines.
“Modeling is a wonderful gate through which to see the world,” Gelila says. “and it has provided me with so many opportunities.” In her post-modeling stage of her life, the Ethiopian dynamo is dedicated to pursuing production and her passion as filmmaker.
