Owner Describes Eagles Player Who Left .20 Cent Tip as Customer From Hεll

Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy ate at PYT burger and left only a .20 cent NFL: Philadelphia Eagles at Denver Broncostip. In retaliation for the stingy tip, the waiter posted McCoy’s receipt online.

After the posting, controversy ensued with some people upset that the server would post the football player’s private information online. Supporters of the server, however, say the Eagles player shouldn’t have left such a cheap tip.

Now the owner of the restaurant is speaking out, saying the player and his friends were verbally abυsive. Although McCoy says the service wasn’t good at the restaurant, the owner said on Facebook that the service was “impeccable” because the staff was so excited to be serving McCoy, and it was McCoy who was out of line.

“Mr McCoy and his three companions came into my place on Monday afternoon, and immediately the whole staff was excited. Mr McCoy is a skilled athlete and is one of our beloved Philadelphia Eagles. A true Philly legend and a sports hero. Understandably my staff was really pumped, especially on the heels of they terrific win the day before. (Go Eagles!),” owner Tommy Up wrote on Facebook.

“He and his group, from the moment they sat down, were verbally abυsive to our staff in the most insulting ways. The derogatory statements about women and their sheer contempt for the staff serving them wasn’t the end, however,” explained the owner. “After Mr McCoy and his group left I looked over and saw their server, my friend, with his head bowed down and with a very confused look on his face. I took the receipt out of his hand and I couldn’t believe that anyone could be so callous. Mr McCoy had left a .03% tip for our staff. Our staff that was beyond excited to see him walk into our burger joint and was excited to serve him. That’s twenty cents on a tab of over $60. Twenty cents that our server has to split with the food runner and the bartender. Two dimes from an insulting multimillionaire.”

  1. This just goes to show you, money can’t buy you class.

  2. Blacks are notorious bad tippers. But this tip was intentionally…in your face dude… INSULTING. IMO, it was a racial thing.

  3. Well when his ass tears a meniscus or pulls a hamstring this season he should not be surprised….Karma….how it does come back to bite you in the ass……he don't even know….his piss may come back dirty and he'll have no way of explaining it….you have to be careful….to much is given…..much is expected…..

  4. really!! is this whats making news? gas station attendants do not get tips. walmart workers dont get tips. he gave them 60 dollars. you americans suck ass!!!

  5. over a tip, you wish this young man gets hurt? this is why i will never call myself american again. i guess you people dont know about the charities he gives to. he works just like the waitresses work.karma has some getting millions and others getting tips. i guess he got good karma?

  6. Changing his story. At first he said they did not realize it was McCoy and that they were very large men (black) who looked like they were not to be played with. Which leads me to believe they were profiled as soon as they walked in as white servers/waiter (esses) have this belief that blacks don't tip well. And the server proceed to act on his belief. If it were me and being rich or not, I would have NOT left a tip at all for the bad service. ..

Which leads me to believe they were profiled as soon as they walked in as white servers/waiter (esses) have this belief that blacks don’t tip well (as attested to by some of the above comments) And the server proceed to act on his belief. If it were me and being rich or not, I would have NOT left a tip at all for the bad service. ..

  8. Service had to be bad to only get .20c or they were rotten people eating at a restaurant. When people have money they are the worth tipper.

  9. Such a shame that he thought so little of folks who had to fix his food. He has made it hard for all his friends to get respect from Food Servers anywhere. BUT, if I was him, I sure would watch where I eat the next time, because in the Restaurant Business, word gets around VERY FAST, about Ignorant Acting, Poor Tippers!!…He may not make the next game, due to stomach issues!!!

  10. Why do we ALWAYS feel that service wasn't good, so no tip?..I am ashamed to say, but I have a few friends I REFUSE to go anywhere to eat with them because THEY ARE TOO CHEAP TO TIP, and THOSE are the people that work the hell out of a waiter or waitress!!..Hot Sauce, this not hot, this TOO HOT, more Drink, more napkins. They are a pain in the behind. Not only that, they use the menu, (where prices are listed), then complain about their check. Food Servers put up with a LOT of Garbage from some people, for the meesley chump change they're left with!!..If the service was so bad, why didn't he complain to Management?..White, Black, Blue or Green, ALL people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect!!…Don't think because you play ball, that you're richer or better off than others, because the same folk that got you that contract, can snatch it away, (just ask Ray Rice!), and you may find yourself flipping burgers!!!…Live by the Golden Rule: Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you!!
