Minister Louis Farrakhan is one of the most respected and appreciated voices in all of black America.  So, when the tragedy of Michael Brown’s shooting in Ferguson, Missouri took place, Farrakhan was one of the first to speak on the matter. Farrakhan gave a recent address in which he stated that the Michael Brown shooting was a mere microcosm of what’s been happening all throughout the United States.

He says that in too many cases, black men are gunned down, and in most of those cases, the victims do not receive justice. He says that he spoke with some of the attorneys connected with the case, as well as Michael Brown’s father, he told them not to let “What some of our people did in anger cause you to focus on that and not the real issue.” He says that it’s odd that the police couldn’t figure out how many times Michael Brown was shot, yet they did happen to know that some cigars came up missing.

“As if white folks don’t steal from convenience stores.” The video gives you something to think about and tells us that the the situation in Ferguson is just a representation of all that’s happening throughout the United States.  In fact, Farrakhan describes it to be a “microcosm” of what’s happening everywhere else. Watch his speech below and give us your thoughts.  Will black people ever receive justice in this country?
