NBA player Gilbert Arenas is not a fan of Rev. Al Sharpton and lashed out at the activist yesterday for going to Ferguson, MO amid protests. Arenas even called Sharpton a “coοn” and said communities in trouble should stop reaching out to Sharpton.
Although Areans deleted his post soon after publishing it to Instagram, Uproxx saved the text.
Arenas sent his condolences to Michael Brown’s family, but also went in on blacks for rioting and looting in their own communities.
“Only reason they issue riot police isssss just in case you actually got smart enough to walk 6 blocks ,YALL ain’t f-cking up white rich sh-t smdh,” he raged.
Then he had the following to say about Sharpton:
“FAMILiES of the victims pleaseeeeee stop asking #alsharpton to speak or ur behalf, you have a better chance having #caesar the monkey from #planetoftheapes to get justice for you..the stats also show AL coοn sharpton has not helped one situation he has protested at,he actually made it worst and because of him the jury goes the other way..(think about it) Jena six, trayvon and the list goes back way back..#AL ur like a #THOT in the club, lookn for attention what u said at trayvons rally #enoughisenough ur right were tired of u PRETENDING”
Sharpton called for peace, justice, and a thorough investigation after unarmed teen Michael Brown was gunned down by Ferguson police.
“In order to establish peace, you must have fair justice for everyone,” said Sharpton. “We are not more angry than his mom and dad. If they can hold their heads with dignity, we can hold our heads with dignity.”
Witnesses say Michael Brown had his hands in the air when he was fatally shοt by an unidentified police officer. Since the shooting, there has been continued civil unrest in Ferguson.
