50 Cent Told the Truth, Floyd Mayweather Can Barely Read

Floyd Mayweather Jr. may be the highest paid athlete in America right now, but based on a Mayweatherrecording released by Power 105’s The Breakfast Club, he can barely read.

Mayweather’s literacy became an issue when rapper 50 Cent bet that the boxer couldn’t read one full page out of a Harry Potter book. Fiddy took to Instagram to reveal that Floyd is illiterate and issue him a challenge.

“Floyd will you except my ALS/ESL CHALLENGE: I will donate $750k to a charity of your choice, If you can read a full page out of a Harry Potter book out loud without starting and stopping or fυcking up. lmao.”

The rapper also posted a picture of Mayweather with this caption: “DαMN I CAN’T READ THAT WHOLE PAGE NOW. fυck you 50, Lmao.”

The crew at Power 105’s The Breakfast Club decided to do a little investigation to determine whether Mayweather could read and found evidence that the boxer is borderline illiterate.

Charlamagne offered a recent clip of Mayweather reading a “drop” for Power 105. Mayweather kept tripping over his words and having to start over. The sentences weren’t complicated and there were no multi-syllable words, but Mayweather just couldn’t make it happen without a few tries.

Mogul 50 Cent posted on Instagram that he was upset that Mayweather said “fυck 50” when he didn’t didn’t have anything to do with Nelly stealing Mayweather’s girl.

Nelly says he doesn’t really have an issue with Mayweather and thinks the whole thing has been blown out of proportion.

“I don’t have a beef with Floyd Mayweather,” Nelly said during an interview with ESPN’s Highly Questionable. “I think the whole thing is misunderstood. I try to understand where he’s coming from, which is a little hard to do. But it’s just one of those things. He is who he is. He’s one of those people that I don’t think likes the word no said to him. I think if anybody does that, that’s what gets underneath his skin a little bit. But I don’t know. It’s kind of hard talking to a guy who hasn’t graduated from high school.”
