Georgia Crook Runs Away in Tears After He’s Caught on Surveillance

Post By RelatedRelated Post

Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time, says the old adage, but one alleged GeorgiaGeorgia robber crook obviously didn’t consider the consequences of his actions before deciding to rob a hotel.

Police say a man walked into a Days Inn around 2pm on Monday and used a gun to rob a female clerk.

“(He) went into the office, grabbed her gun drawn and took her straight over to the cash drawer,” Detective P.A. Wright told WSBTV in Atlanta.

The man snαtched cash from the drawer, then at one point, looks directly into the surveillance camera. That was the beginning of the end for the bumbling crook who realized he’d just given himself away by giving the surveillance camera a good shοt of him.

In an attempt to save himself, the robber told the clerk to give him the key to the safe so that he could access the camera, but the woman said she didn’t know how to do that.

“He threαtened her and said, ‘Hey, if you don’t I’ll shoot you,’” Wright said. “But she was like, ‘I still don’t know how to work it.’ At that point he was so frustrated, he left crying.”

Surveillance video clearly shows the man leaving the scene of the crime with his hands over his face. The crook has probably made the job of law enforcement easier by looking directly into the camera, almost as if posing for a picture.

The clerk was not injured during the incident.

Police still have not identified the man but are searching for a black man driving an Oldsmobile Bravada. Anyone who knows the car or recognizes the man is asked to call 404-577-TIPS.
