A father did something in Maryland that nearly every other dad thinks about doing at some point in his life. He found out that a 42-year old teacher was sending inappropriate text messages to his 15-year old daughter, and then beat him down with a baseball bat.
Police say that the girl’s mother read the messages and considered them “inappropriate for a teacher and a student.” According to News Net 5, the police were notified at first that there was an issue. However, they didn’t feel that the matter was serious enough to charge the teacher with a crime.
However, things changed later down the road when the teacher actually showed up to the teenager’s house. The man asked to speak to the girl’s father, but was told to leave. However, he wouldn’t go away, so the father smacked him with a baseball bat.
The teacher didn’t press charges, so the father wasn’t charged. However, according to The Baltimore Sun, the Crimes against Children unit is going to continue its investigation.
“The officer found that the teacher sustained minor injuries and advised him of the process for swearing out a complaint of second-degree assault (a misdemeanor),” according to a statement from police. “The teacher said he did not wish to pursue charges.”
So, please tell us. If your daughter were sharing inappropriate text messages with a 42-year old man, would there be any justification for attacking him?
