Around 20 people were involved in a brawl at a Cincinnati, Ohio kindergarten graduation on Monday
The Mt. Healthy North Elementary school was placed on lockdown when the fight broke out. The fight is reported to have begun when a 33-year-old man walked up to his child’s mother’s boyfriend and punched him square in the face. Raymond Walker was charged with assault and inducing panic among all who attended the graduation celebration. One hundred fifty children were coming together with their proud parents for an exciting moment in their lives, and within minutes, the joy was replaced with fear and panic.
Once the first punch was thrown, others began to join in. It was unclear as to whether they were trying to stop the fight and ended up fighting off Walker or whether they were just jumping in the fight themselves. In all, there were 20 adults involved in the fight. There was shoving, pushing, and fists flying through the air in the gym where the graduation ceremony was taking place. Incredibly though, there were no injuries reported. The police arrived after the school had been placed on lockdown, but Walker had already taken off. The school wants the parties responsible to be punished for ruining a beautiful day.
One mother found herself in the middle of the brawl. She said that people were being shoved towards her and fists were flying near her.
It is sad that these children had their day ruined because of childish behavior by those who are supposed to be setting the example.
