A Brooklyn eighth grader turned her hobby of reading and writing stories into a profession.
Angela Content, 13, has always loved to read, according to her mother Marie. The more she read the more she wanted to write a story of her own. That drive channeled into two self-published books currently available at Amazon and other online booksellers.
Marie Content told CBS New York she did not realize her daughter was serious about becoming an author.
“At first she said, ‘Mommy, I’m going to write a book. I’m writing my own book,’ I said, ‘OK.’ She said, ‘I’m going to publish it.’ I said, ‘OK,’”
That was all the encouragement Angela needed.
