rihane20140429132611_l_400x511The R&B superstar, Rihanna, has had quite a year, from legal cases piling up to some iconic fashion shoots.  The recording sensation, hailing from Barbados and crossing over to wild success on the American pop and R&B charts, is known for her sharp mouth and take no prisoners attitude.

Rihanna appears in Vogue Brazil and Lui Magazine. Recently, she was spotted in New York City with a friend leaving Da Silvano Restaurant. Always scouted out for her fashion and style, the singer was pictured leaving the restaurant in a matching aquamarine crop top and mini skirt. There is no doubt that the young starlet is always turning heads wherever she goes. Maybe this time she caught the attention of the wrong one. Her former bodyguard is calling the singer out and letting her know she has gone too far.

The Pop singer is facing charges from her former bodyguard for making offensive and slanderous comments. Geoffrey Keating, claims that she made “nauseatingly offensive” to him. The bodyguard is from Dublin, Ireland. The charges were officially filed in Ireland.

According to Mirror, the fashion icon made false statements about Keating to his wife and sister.

The singer was given legal papers alerting her to the lawsuit at her New York City home. Keating claims that his business and character have suffered greatly because of the alleged comments.

In an interview with TMZ, Keating’s lawyer, Gerald Kean says of the charges, “We’re taking this battle very seriously. We are satisfied that the Irish Courts will see justice at the end of the day.”

Keating is suing the Bajan beauty for defamation. The former bodyguard worked for the singer during her Diamonds tour between October 2012 and July 2013.  Keating served as the artist’s head of security during her tour. Finally, Keating is seeking damages from the songstress for defamation.

So far there is no word from Rihanna’s camp.
