Nigerian Singer Defends Her Skin Whitening Cream

How do you feel about white supremacy?  Well, if you think that it’s a bad thing,  you might find yourself offended by hearing that a singer believes that whiter skin is better, prettier and more attractive.  Singer Dencia went onto British television to defend her heavily criticized skin-whitening cream, Whitenicious.

The video is below and the host is hammering her pretty hard.  Even before the activist she invited gets a chance to speak, she has the singer back pedaling.  Dencia says that the cream is to help with those who have problems with dark spots, but it looks like she’s removed more than just a spot or two in her before and after photos.

What do you do when people refuse to love themselves and hate their own skin so much that they insist on telling children that whiter is better?  Maybe Dencia needs to leave this one alone.

  1. This woman has a slave mentality, and the host is trying to educate her,a white woman wow

  2. She can't answer the question directly because she knows what she has done to herself, her choice or not, is damaging to the psych of millions of beautiful dark skinned women. Stop selling self-hate and denying that you are selling it.

  3. Omg y!? So shameful

  4. Omg y!? So shameful

  5. Omg y!? So shameful

  6. Omg y!? So shameful

  7. This chick is crazy! She knows damn right why she put on her gloves ahah people who bleach their skin always have those ugly hands (discolored, multi colored …urgh ugly!)

  8. A clear case of an African brain that has been washed white. So Sad.

  9. If people can attack her for lightening her skin then we should also start attacking 90% of the black women that are straightening their hair with relaxers and wearing wigs, fake straight hair weaved into there heads or whatever process there using. Isn't that fair?

  10. sure it is fair, but those things you mention are not permanent. this dumb chick has shown she has no self esteem and is a pig!!!

  11. when she says dark spots does she mean her entire body is a dark spot?

  12. not just the dark spot, the blond hair weave. This woman has no esteem at all

  13. She's dumb

  14. SHE IS NOT NIGERIAN…SHE IS FROM CAMEROON GUYS…GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!!!!

  15. How can you guys post this without verifying your story? The singer is not Nigerian… I hope you would amend your title.

  16. jackson doesnt matter if its permanent or not cuz the damage is still done..she has the right to do what she wants…as do all other women ppl always want their cake and eat it to…

  17. she defended herself well they attempted to say oh ppl look up to u so we need u to be who we want u to be…lmfao and shes like df ima do wat i want and this is wat i want if u cant influence ur kids to feel good about themselves then thats ur problem….go do something more important like stop world hunger…

  18. Marvin Williams look at the black women that are posting and criticizing her, notice many of their hairs styles and tell me this is not hypocrisy at it's best. Just as I ride the Metra train to work everyday where many black women get on at my stop 90% of all of them have straightened black hair and mimic white European hairstyles. Look at Timeathea and Sharelette they look like dark skinned white women. o.O You know there hair don't grow straight like that and they sure as hell don't look Afrocentric. Even with short hair Naloucha Dramé and her friend are supporting straightened hair. I tell you man Hypocrisy is at its best here.

  19. Marvin Williams what are you talking about "cake and eat it too"? ou are making no sense!!! If people can do what they want, I have the right to comment when and how I want. I still say this woman has no self esteem, she lightened her entire body to portray the dominating image in today's society. That is the image of the blond blue eyed woman. Prove me wrong!!!
