So what you are a comedian. You can still get robbed.
It seems that all the jokes in the world are not enough to keep you protected from the pervasive reach of crime. Funny man Micheal Blackson had to learn this for himself, the hard way. The comedian who has probably never harmed a fly confessed to his Twitter followers that he had been robbed on Sunday night in Atlanta. Sure, most people would be greatly upset, but then again, Blackson is not most people. He is hilarious. So the comedian has decided to do what he is good at in response to the horrific event – make fun of it.
According to Blackson, he was robbed at gunpoint as he exited an establishment called Aroma, in Atlanta, as reported by The Urban Daily. He said he made his announcement on Twitter so that he could be the first to tell the news to his fans rather than Worldstar Hip Hop. Though Blackson did admit to being robbed, he failed to go into detail about what exactly was taken.
While communicating with his fans via Twitter, Blackson took a shot at P. Diddy saying, “Time to wear all fake like puffy n da rest of dem neegas so next time a neega robs me like Chris Tucker said he’ll just be practicing.”
Hopefully Blackson knew what he was setting himself up for. Not long after the announcement, people began making jokes. One follower sent Blackson a nine-step guide on self-defense, which he responded to with a “LMAO” and a retweet.
While Blackson has been open and somewhat jovial about the incident, he does say that he will no longer be as vulnerable when taking pictures with fans. “Last thing I wanted was not to be able to get close to my fans n take pics but the last neegas that said they wanted pics robbed me in VIP,” he tweeted.
