As part of an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on her show, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, CeeLo Green made the announcement that he will no longer be returning to ‘The Voice’ he is outta there! The interview will be airing on Wednesday. Green emphasized strongly that he will not be returning “at all.”

Although he might be given “The Voice,” the boot, he says he’ll continue his relationship with NBC.”I’m going to continue my relationship with NBC. I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year. But yeah, I’m going to miss ‘The Voice’ too. So I’m not coming back guys…” Green said.

CeeLo told Ellen that he did not want to “wear out my welcome” on the series, for which he has served as a coach.

“Yeah, I just want to…I don’t want to wear out my welcome there. You know what I’m saying. I have so many other things that I want to do. I haven’t released an album in four years. I’m almost done with my album…” Green stated to the talk show host.

One can only wonder if his decision to leave the hit show has anything to do with his legal problems. Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, was charged last year with furnishing a controlled substance, a felony charge that carries up to four years in state prison.

And as Eurweb has reported, Green is accused of slipping a 33-year old woman Ecstasy while the pair was dining at a downtown Los Angeles restaurant in mid July.

Green is preparing to tour with Lionel Ritchie this summer. Green appeared on “Ellen” alongside Lionel Richie. He announced on his official website that he and Ritchie, 64, will be touring together this year — from May to August — in a concert special titled “All The Hits All Night Long.”

The singer was one of the original judges on “The Voice’, when the American version of the show — which originated in Holland — started airing in 2011. He appeared as one of the four judges, alongside country singer Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine, for three seasons.
