During her tour of England, recording artist and actress, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, is proving to the world as well as her fans that she is not only good at what she does best, but is also good at helping people by teaming up with Prince Charles in a charity fundraising effort.
The world famous singer has launched her own global campaign, #BeyGood, which is helping to raise money for children in need. She has teamed up with the Prince of Wales Trust and encourages her fans to give a small donation to help these needy children in the amount of £3, which is about $5 US Dollars.
The generous and kind-hearted superstar is also donating all the proceeds of her appearances in the UK during her “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour,” to the charity in order to provide for these children in need.
Beyoncé is also finding the time during her hectic lifestyle and performances to encourage people to be good to each other in their communities.
“As a young child, I was blessed to have the support of my family who encouraged me to reach for my goals,” said Beyoncé. She continued, “So many young people don’t have this. I am honored to partner the #BeyGood campaign with The Prince’s Trust to help young people beat the odds and create better lives for themselves.”
During her concert tours in the U.K., fans will be given the chance to support the Prince’s Trust by making a donation or buying one of her #BeyGood T-shirts. They will then have the opportunity of being picked for a seat upgrade at the concert to the VIP section, which will place them closer to their favorite star.
According to Martina Milburn, chief executive of the Prince’s Trust, the famous superstar is giving her time and her money to support the trust because she understands that children in the U.K. are suffering everyday.
Milburn went on to say that Beyoncé is a perfect emissary for the trust to help the needy children of the U.K., who are suffering from addiction, homelessness, and poverty, to name a few, and to give them hope for a better future. She added that the money donated by the superstar would greatly help these underprivileged children get back on their feet.
