Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has his fans in a grip of mystery about he will be up to in 2014. The rumor mills are abuzz with plans of his collaboration with DC Comics to work on projects that he promises will result in “cool bad assery.”

In his final update for 2013 he Tweeted his followers:

We just had a big meeting w/ Warner Bros CEO re:@DCComics 2014 we will partner up and create the cool bad assery. #RockTalk @ActionTilson

Now, while the Tweet gives no clues whatsoever about what the project might be, there are some sure bets. Here are a few of them:

“Man of Steel” – The Sequel

2015 will see the return of Superman. This time he won’t be alone: he will be a part of the Justice League. Ben Affleck has taken to Batman and Wonder Woman will be played by Gal Gadot. The Flash and The Green Lantern are up for grabs. So, maybe The Rock will bite?

Although DC Comics has, for the time being at least, shelved “Shazam” due to the huge success of “Man of Steel”, perhaps they might bring it back into play now that they have The Rock.

“Shazam” is a story about Billy Batson, an everyday kid who magically transforms into Captain Marvel. One of his famous nemeses is Black Adam – a role that will definitely fit The Rock.

This is the story of the cigar smoking, space-bike-riding, alien bounty hunter of the DC Universe. In 2012, filmmaker Brad Peyton was handed the reins to the project. The candidate for the main character was none other than The Rock.

However, the project was abandoned and nothing came out of it. Who knows? It could be back on track again.

But, whatever may be, the 41-year-old actor will soon be able to wow us after the wrap up on the set of “Fast and Furious 7.”

The movie production was recently restarted after a hiatus following the death of actor Paul Walker.

  4. Only problem with that is the Rock isn't black.

  6. So the article says he’ll likely be a superhero for DC Comics, but the headline says it’ll be for Marvel? What’s with that obvious error? You do know Marvel & DC are two different companies with completely different characters, right?

  8. Please learn the difference between Marvel and DC before attempting to speak-geek! You say Marvel in the title and then go on to discuss DC projects. The difference is actually really important here.

  9. I don’t know who the moron was that edited this article, but there is a very big difference between Marvel and DC. Please learn that before making further indulgences into this news.
