The acme of clownery, the interrupter of class, and now the self-proclaimed genius, Kanye West, has finished another attempt at relevancy by disrespecting the President of the United States. West says thinking about the president would lower his “priority of thinking.”
And what is that level of thinking, again?
Anyway, West said in an interview on Monday that he feels “used” by President Barack Obama. He said that because of this, he will no longer be saying the president’s name.
The interview was with a radio station in Philadelphia. “That’s out my thoughts. That’s lowering my priority of thinking at this point,” said the rapper.
And that’s big stuff coming from Kanye West. This is the same person who humiliated singer Taylor Swift, and arguably himself, when he went up on stage, uninvited, while she was in the process of accepting her award; and said that the award should actually have gone to his friend and platinum recording artist, Beyoncé.
After the 2009 incident at the MTV Video Music Awards, the President commented on Kanye’s stunt, calling him a “jαckαss.”
According to West, that was just a play by the president to deflect attention away from his policies. He said it was evidence that Obama “used” him to “distract people from everything that’s going on,” as reported by TPM Livewire.
Maybe he has a point.
Last month, Kanye again made headlines for his comments with regard to the country’s leadership. He said that First Lady Michelle Obama was not as influential in the world of fashion as his partner, Kim Kardashian.
West challenged, “Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day.”
