Diddy gives $250,000 to Teenage Entrepreneurs

Post By RelatedRelated Post

Diddy is rich, everyone knows this.  But he’s also savvy with his money, giving charity in order to connect him with the next great ideas in entrepeneurship.  Diddy just gave $250,000 to the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE).  The money is going to go toward seed funding for great business ideas, and I’m sure that Diddy is going to get a chance to decide if he wants to invest in those businesses.  So, this creates a win-win for both Diddy and the person he is investing in, assuming that he doesn’t ruin their careers like he does with a lot of rappers.

The mission of NFTE is to “provide programs that inspire young people from low-income communities to stay in school, to recognize business opportunities and to plan for successful futures.”

The four finalists, Juny Nguyen, Jesus Fernandez, Dagim Girma and Toheeb Okenla were able to get coaching from Diddy on how to make money and how to succeed in the difficult and fast paced world of entrepreneurship.

According to theybf.com:

Okenla and Fernandez, who both won first place, beat out 38 “teen competitors with their business plan for T&J Soccer, which centers on a manufacturing-retail business that sells soccer socks with pockets sewn into them for inserts that protect players’ shins during soccer games.”

Combs shared the above photo on Twitter with the caption: “I’m here w/ @NFTE supporting our young entrepreneurs of tomorrow!! It’s an honor!! #trepsTo whom much is given much is expected ! Thank God 4 Hip Hop ! #GiveBack.”
