Gay Couple Attacked by Four Men After a Knicks Game
The New York City Police Department is on the job investigating an attack on a gay couple after the big game this weekend between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers. Nick Porto and his partner Kevin Adams were walking right in the middle of Manhattan when the attack took place. They were punched and kicked repeatedly during the incident, and had to be rushed to the hospital. Porto suffered a broken nose during the attack.
They both believe they were victims of a hate crime, and it appears that they are right.
“I’ve never had a feeling like this before in the city,” Porto said. “I didn’t know that it’s not over, that this sort of stuff still happens.”
“They called us f*****s,” Porto recalled. “They made fun of my jeans — I made the jeans myself, for that day.”
