Keyshia Cole Hating Again Targets Beyoncé’s ‘Bow Down’ In Latest Tweet

kb319These days it appears that singer Keyshia Cole is trying to get attention by any means necessary. The trend for Cole is hating on all things Destiny’s Child. This time Cole goes in on Beyoncé for her new release, “Bow Down/I’ve Been On.” Is Cole bitter over the success of Beyoncé? The lyrics to Beyoncé’s song gets straight to the point about how she feels about others in the game, but makes no direct hit at anyone in particular.

In the lyrics Beyoncé verbally tries to demand respect saying, “I know when you were little girls / You dreamt of being in my world / Don’t forget it / Don’t forget it Respect that Bow Down … “

“I took some time to live my life / But don’t think I’m just his little wife / Don’t get it twisted, get it twisted / This is my … / Bow Down …”

Later in the song she says, “I’m bigger than life / The name in the lights / I’m the the No. 1 chick I don’t need no hype / The capital B means I’m about that life / The capital B means I’m about that life  / I’ve been on I’ve been on I’ve been on / Tell me who’s going to take me off”

Cole lashed out at Queen Bey, whose “Bow Down” seems a bit left field and out of character for the R&B Diva. Cole took to twitter saying, “Women need to Stick together” now b*@$ better Bow. Smh. But it’s all G! Chicks stay shooting the sh**. But when I speak my mind its a prob. #Well #StayMad”

She adds, “Can’t stand when people all self righteous when it’s convenient it makes them look good. Lmao! But can still talk sh**when convenient 2 FOH….I done kept it real from the start! #RespectTHAT”

Shortly after her rant, Cole plugged her upcoming performance on Jimmy Kimmel tonight.

Although Cole has a right to her opinion and may even be valid, she may be damaging her efforts to make a comeback with her music. Before she hammered Beyoncé for her lyrics, she went on a rant about another former Destiny’s Child member, Michelle Williams, after the SuperBowl. Maybe she will complete the circle and go after Kelly Rowland next? Who knows.

I find the lyrics offensive to little girls that look up to Beyonce. I don’t understand why she has to stoop to such a level with this song, it is very demeaning to her female fans. She is too big.

Keyshia Cole is right on point with her comments. I like Beyonce’ music, but this new song is a MAJOR turn off and let down. She’s singing about how large she is and how small b*tches are. Totally beneath my standards of good music. Your name may be Beyonce’, but PLEASE never forget the fans who help to keep you relevant. We bow down to God, NOT MAN / WOMAN!!! Believe that.

What a shame that the author of the article felt more of a need to go at KC for speaking sense and asking for some responsibility from a fellow artist, but skates over the bigger issue of such a ridiculous song.
