Nick Cannon Speaks Again, Not Concerned Wife, Mariah Carey, Will Be Shot by Nicki Minaj

The beef between American Idol’s new judges, Mariah Carey and  Nicki Minaj seems to be taking its time to die down.

On Saturday, while hosting the Safe Communications 1st Annual Family Day in Santa Monica, Mariah Carey’s husband, Nick Cannon was asked about the beef again, by E! News.

Cannon thinks that the much publicized “disagreement” between his Wife and Minaj is getting a bad rap, saying,

“That’s exactly what you called it was drama. With drama, it’s theatrics. I’m not worried about that stuff.”

While 32 year old Cannon seems to be taking the feud lightly, his wife appears to have given it a little more weight, telling Barbara Walters of  “The View” that she was going to hire more security.

Minaj is reported to have blown up when she did not like Carey’s comments, last week Tuesday, at an “American Idol” taping.

Talking about her conversation with Mariah Carey, during  Thursday’s telecast of “The View”, Walters said,

“She said that when Nicki walked off the set, multiple people heard Nicki say, ‘If I had a gun I would shoot the b***h,’”

According to Daily News’ Confidential it was not the first time that Minaj threatened to shoot someone. The 29 year old performer reportedly put out a lyrical hit on fellow rapper Remy Ma in a 2008 freestyle rap.

Some say the whole feud was exaggerated just to boost ratings for “American Idol”.

Cannon admitted that he was not sure there was actually a gun threat made, adding,

“It made for good news. It sounded good, right?
