Discrimination Case Against “The Bachelor” Dismissed in Court
It looks like the brothers claiming that they were discriminated against by ABC aren’t going to be paid for their troubles.
After spending time in court fighting the matter, the case has been dismissed from federal court. But this doesn’t allow ABC to escape the reality that they’ve been painted as a racist network. The network has even gone as far as arguing that it has a right to discriminate, based on freedom of speech. This won’t go over so well with black viewers:
In Nashville, Tennessee, Nathaniel Claybrooks and Christopher Johnson, two African American men, claimed that they were not selected to appear on the television show “The Bachelorette” because of discrimination on the part of the producers. They sued the ABC network back in April for discriminating against nonwhite participants. They charged that it was the show’s policy not to put Black, Asian, or Hispanics in the leading role on those shows. With this lawsuit, Claybrooks and Johnson wanted to encourage more social acceptance of interracial relationships and wanted the networks to stop perpetuating “outdated racial stereotypes.”
The court ruled that the network’s casting decisions and the messages that they want to communicate are protected by the First Amendment. U.S. District Court Judge Aleta Trauger wrote:

Loving v. State of Virginia(integrated marriage)was decided in 1966, and somehow, or another, some Black folk just do not believe they can not celebrate the differences. The majority population are not integrationists.
Its very difficult to fight and win against systemic racism. Something overt and obvious has to happen that even white people can see for it to be a viable reason for them to do something about it. People of color (Blacks specifically) hardly ever hear this but their Racial Intelligence Quotient (RIQ) is very substantial as compared to whites who are very poor in this area of intel. So you have an unintelligent dominanat culture of people listening intently to the claims of discrimination but lacking the (RIQ) to really hear what is being told to them. The Word says “they will have ears but not hear..” As the country becomes more and more diverse in myriad ways and whites reject forms of discrimination that they cannot see but exist nonetheless on a daily basis, who the d**n president is will not make any difference.
They will never change. Start as a people helping each other. Save your money and invest in yourselves. Obama 2012
well well well. No one showed you some love??? why do we always want to be included with ‘them?’ Spend your time and money on something more substantial and stop worrying about the fact that you didn’t get a chance to date some female of another race.
If she wasn’t a sister I wouldn’t want to be on the program. Vote for Obama for 2012.
