Audra McDonald Ties the Knot

Award-winning actress Audra McDonald tied this knot this week with Broadway star Will Swenson.  Audra and Will exchanged vows at their home in Croton-on-Hudson, New York this week.   The two have dated for nearly five years and got engaged on New Years.

Audra, who is now 42 years old and gorgeous, met her man in 2007.  He is four years her junior.   She was previously married to Peter Donovan and was divorced in 2009 after nine years of marriage.  The two have an 11-year old daughter.  Will has two sons, aged eight and 11, with his ex-wife, Amy Westerby.

Audra is best-known for her performance on the television show Private Practice.  But she left the show to star in Porgy and Bess on Broadway.  She was given a Tony Award for her outstanding performance.  Audra has also taken roles in Ragtime and A Raisin in the Sun.  She was born in Berlin and her parents put her in acting classes after she was diagnosed as being “hyperactive.”

Will is going to take a role in the new musical, Murder Ballad.
