Venus and Serena Won’t Support Movie Depicting Father Badly
Venus and Serena Williams started out supporting a documentary that told their life story but now that they have realized that the movie paints a negative picture of their father,Richard Williams, they have withdrawn their support.
Until recently, the Williams sisters had the intention of appearing on the red carpet at the movie’s premier at the Toronto International Film Festival. The tennis star sisters had allowed the film makers to take a very intimate look into their lives for the purpose of making the documentary. The film, “Venus and Serena,” chronicles how the two stars rose from Compton to their current status as international tennis super stars.
This past weekend when Serena won the U.S. Open women’s singles title for the fourth time, it was expected that it would give the film a boost. The film premier was scheduled to accommodate the sisters’ schedule so that they would be able to attend.
Up until January 2011, the filmmakers worked hard to convince the sisters to allow them access into their lives to make the movie. After the sisters agreed, they filmmakers followed and filmed them as they traveled around the world.
After watching the film, Venus is reported to have been displeased with the way that her father was depicted as controlling and philandering.
The filmmakers are said to have made some adjustments to the film but still failed to meet the approval of the sisters.
Although the film paints the sisters in a very positive light, the sisters are not willing to put the stamp of approval on it if it does not do the same for their father.

All the movie executives are interested is money at the expense of any individual, even the sisters If came down to it. Unfortunately most people main objective is money and fame, no matter who is the ultimate victim.
Great job girls. You just won the grand slam with an ace.
Listen girls, you are too smarter women to let some film producers trash the integrity of your dad. Don’t be a sell out for more silver and gold at the expense of making your father look bad. Remember what he did to make you get to where you are today!!
I hope that Gymnast ungrateful b***h Gabby , take a page out of the Williams sisters book
