Samuel L. Jackson Releases New Obama Ad: “Wake the F*ck Up”

If you don’t mind a little profanity, this ad is entertaining.  As a spin-off to the bedtime story, “Go the F*ck to Sleep,” Samuel is now in the business of campaigning for President Obama in ways that only he is allowed to do.  As a megastar and A-list actor, Jackson has built his career on providing solid acting talent,  a strong work ethic and a powerful screen presence to build himself a niche that can be filled by no one else.

The ad is likely designed to appeal to younger voters, who will surely find it entertaining.  It has the capacity to go viral, and presents a convincing set of arguments that remind young voters of what’s at stake if Mitt Romney is President of the United States.  One limitation of the ad is that it focuses on the lesser of two evils argument, citing President Obama as the best of two uninteresting candidates.  This may not appeal to young voters who are seeking alternatives to the two party political system in the first place.
