Check Out Blue Ivy Carter’s $800 Shoes
What kind of gifts do you get when you’re the child of two global superstar parents? Well if a solid gold rocking horse, crystalized high chair, and a $20,000 crib aren’t enough, famous shoe designer Ruthie Davis designed a pair of crystalized shoes (named Jamie) that she designed for Blue Ivy Carter. The shoes are made of pink leather, covered in purple Swarovski crystals, and purple laces.
Ruthie Davis posted a pic of the sneakers on the company’s Facebook page saying, “Take a look at the Baby Ruthie’s I made especially for Beyonce and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy…so sweet, right?”
The shoes are probably one of the less expensive gifts given to baby Carter, at
$800. Baby Carter’s maternal grandfather, Matthew Knowles, sat down in an interview shortly after the birth of his granddaughter to further remind people — as if Jigga doesn’t do this enough already in his music — just how privileged baby Carter is to have parents who will enable her to be whatever she wants to be in life. “If Blue Ivy wants to be a doctor when she grows up then they would figure how to buy a hospital,” Matthew Knowles said. “If she wants to be a basketball player,” he continued, “I already own a WNBA team so she can play there and if she wants to be a singer then she would be very happy.”
Do you believe it’s a privilege to be born into wealth?

$800 for baby shoes and $20,000 for a crib??!! That’s not practical at all. But at least the baby isn’t being abused or neglected.
Sorry but I’ve seen better looking shoes that was alot cheaper. I don’t believe in telling people how to spend their money because I love to shop too. Its great they got it like that. But today I just volunteered to go to pass out lunch bags to different apartment complexes for the children who won’t eat this holiday because school is the only time they eat. I was in tears. All the hungry children that are homeless or living in horrible conditions. So it makes me think, that while I waste money on an expensive outfit, that will barely be worn or is just simply a waste. There are starving kids in America also that need that $800 so much more, than for a baby that will outgrow them next month. Its sad when we waste our money like that on fashion, etc. When we can bless starving children with it. We never know when our children will need that kind of help one day. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. It really opened my eyes to alot
They did not come from that type of spending. This is probably why they are spending extravagantly on their first off spring. Privilege is in itself an oxymoron as the type of mentality that must exist in order to believe one is somehow born or deserving of a solid gold rocking horse, crystallized high chair, and a $20,000 crib and $800.00 pair of custom fitted baby shoes is the very system that Jay-Z and most of the Hip Hop prophets were against.
Privilege comes with responsibility and has nothing to do with the the stupidity with with you spend your money. Privilege is “Understanding” the world around you. To understand that with the gift God has given you the world can be healed and change can come.
Honestly that child is not privileged nor are her parents. They are agents of the destructive thinking which believes that the acquisition of money “by any means” is the key to success. They work for the principle agents who through a “concerted effort” have attempted to bring change through a negative system of selfish and self centered principles.
That poor little girl will grow up a victim of this belief system and the idea that she is somehow better than and she will probable never reach a level of “self realizing” and use her gifts to serve the world instead of living an “unsubstantiated empty and worldly lifestyle,”
In my life as an altruistic, compassionate person who understands the world I have never bought mot one single record, album, look at one video, T.V show or anything connected to the parents of “Blue Ivy.” The reason is their work has never been able to bring not one single shred of light or wisdom, of any kind to my life. I am “PRIVILEGED” to know and understand this….
If you people would’ve actually paid attention yo would’ve realized it said gift given to her not shoes bought by parents. And Jay-z gives back to under privilege people in america and africa do your home work before commenting. Even if they.did by them it’s their money that they worked hard for so they can spend it how they like. Buying things you can’t afford is nor being practical having close to a billion dollars as a unit and spending 800 on their only child is far from non practical, even though the shoes were a gift
800.00 for baby shoes how dumb is that? sad thing about these 800.00 shoes it will be a poor black mother try to buy her baby a pair of these shoes
