Bobby Brown Gets Back to Reality on BET

It has been quite a year for Bobby Brown with his ex-wife Whitney Houston passing away in February, getting married over the summer and then a quick stop-in at  a rehab center. Now the controversial R&B singer is reported to be going back to the  world of reality television.

According to latimes.com, BET is working on bringing Bobby Brown back to television in a new reality show that will be centered around his “life and businesses.” Back in 2005, Brown and his late ex-wife, singer Whitney Houston, were the stars of a  reality show on Bravo called “Being Bobby Brown.”

Brown is currently on tour with New Edition, his reunited singing group but he is said to be working with BET to get the reality show on BET.

James DuBose, who has been an executive producer for several other reality shows centered around celebrities, will be the executive producer for Brown’s new show. Dubose is the man behind Philadelphia Eagles star Michael Vick’s reality show which he did after being released from prison.

Brown’s life has not been short on drama with years of drug and alcohol abuse and several arrests. Just last month, the R&B singer reportedly checked himself in and out of rehab, all within a three week span of time.

Brown and Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, who was also a part of his 2005 “Being Bobby Brown” reality show, has been cast in Tyler Perry’s “For Better or Worse” on TBS.
