LSU’s Dismissed Star Player Has Now Entered Drug Rehab
Former LSU star Tyrann Mathieu is reportedly entering drug rehab after being cut from the team this week. Fox 8 is reporting that Mathieu’s father, Tyrone, is saying that the 20 year old has been at the Right Step Recovery Center and is being counseled for former NBA star and recovering drug addict, John Lucas.
Mathieu, known as “Honey Badger” for his ruthless ways on the field, was a candidate for the Heisman Trophy until he was suddenly released from the team. Tyrone says that his son is committed to getting better and won’t play football until he’s sure that he’s ready to come back.
LSU says that 20 schools have asked for permission to speak with Mathieu about transferring. He has visited McNeese State as well. LSU coach Les Miles has decline to state whether he has closed the door entirely on his star player. Players like Mathieu are worth millions to universities with leading football programs. The Tigers went to the national championship last year, a feat that would have been difficult to accomplish without Mathieu.
Miles has guaranteed that Mathieu won’t be playing this season. That much he knows for sure.

I hope he gets his life back together…………….
