Gabby’s Family Reportedly Fighting Over Her Millions Already

The parents of Olympic champion Gabby Douglas are now in the middle of the battle of a lifetime over Gabby’s endorsement deals.  Of course the National Enquirier is saying this, so you have to take it with a grain of salt.  But it’s not hard to imagine that there would be fighting over money after your child makes this kind of loot.

Insiders have allegedly told the Enquirer that Gabby stands to earn $100 million in her lifetime as a result of her performance at this year’s Olympic games. Both of Gabby’s parents, Timothy Douglas and Natalie Hawkins, are apparently debating over how this money should be split between the two.

According to Natalie, Timothy rarely paid child support, but from what we understand, it’s very difficult for a military man to avoid paying child support to his family.

Sources are saying that “both sides of Gabby’s family are jockeying to be in good standing with the goose that laid the golden egg. Meanwhile, poor Gabby is caught in the middle.”

Gabby’s grandmother, May Douglas, told the Enquirer: “We don’t know how many tickets were given, and how they were given, we only know they were not given to us.”

May is speaking in reference to the fact that Gabby’s father says that he was not invited to see Gabby perform at the Olympic games.

According to one source, it appears that Timothy and his family feel that Natalie cut them out of the process when they wanted to see Gabby perform:

“Timothy and his family suspect Natalie had everything to do with them not being able to gain access to Gabby’s competitions, and they’re furious about being cut out!”

There are mixed assessments of the depth of the role that Timothy played in his daughter’s life.  It also appears that this drama is far from over.  All it takes to ruin a lot of relationships is a little bit of money.  We hope they can see the forest from the trees and do what’s right for Gabby.

If you’re not available during my struggles, don’t expect to be present during my success.

If Gabby’s father wasn’t available when she needed him while growing up, then she’s not obligated to give to him. If the mother facilitated their relationship yet the father still didn’t come around, then he doesn’t deserve anything.

Now, often there’s a part of the story we rarely if ever hear, so this may just be starting….

Queen Gabby’s father is in the service, and this is why he is not in her life at this time!!!

The racist media does not report the Truth! They love to start drama and lies to keep Blacks fighting each other. Go do some research and find out for yourselves.

That’s his daughter also, and he deserves a fraction of the action, just like Gabby’s mama. He’s fighting for this racist country, so he should be entitled his share. I’m sure the mama wants her child support, so give the man some play!

Gabby is still a MINOR! Her parents are obligated to any money she receives. I’ll bet my life if your daughter won millions of dollars worth of endorsements, you’ll have your hands out too!

I am not sure about that. I know in California you are not. This law was changed when this went down with Gary Coleman. You have to put most of the money in a trust for the minor.

If the man is in the military they dock child support out his pay before he even receives his check. Also if he is career military unless your family lives on base you will barely see them. Put Gabby’s money in a trust until she goes to college, release some to her and the rest she gets at 24.

Really Lisa! Gabby is a child and needs her Mom and Dad, I concur the money needs to be in a irrevocable trust and diversified with allocations made for an amount she’s accustom to living on monthly quarterly or semi annually whatever!. I am in no way suggesting that anyone should have any certain amount, other than those involved in the entire process of that journey. Now for whatever reason the Dad is not in their lives remains to be a mystery and one I could care less to hear. In any event I am confident her Mom will do the right thing and make sure this life changing event will take care of them for the rest of there lives. $100 million dollars is a lot more than their use to but not enough for a life time of inexperienced frivolous spenders unadvised of sudden wealth. FYI

You know, Gabby is 16 y.o.. She can and will decide to whom she deems fit to receive monies if any. So both her parents better chill and act civil, or this young lady just may request to become emancipated.

I was wondering how long it was going to take for the “fight for the money” to begin. I just wish this young lady was of age and she was able to make her OWN decisions. Since that is not the case, I am certain that Natalie will choose wisely for her daughter and her well-being.

If this is attributed from the Enquire, why is the black media even printing this garbage? We have to be the most ignorant people, on the face of the earth. We want to believe the worst about our people, without first receiving credible evidence, and the Enquire, is not credible. There are still a lot of us that believes Michael Jackson, actually molested those 2 kids, despite evidence that destroys these accusations, including a witness that spent the night with Michael, and slept next to him on the floor. Also, the parents of the last boy, had tried to extort money from numerous people in the past, using the same ruse. Prove it, before you accuse it. Now, watch this dumb n****r Derrick, come on here, and start his ridiculous diatribe, and if I use the word n****r, to describe someone of my race, I must truly loathe them.

It was bound to go down this way when you have a race of people who are lost to reality. We have always been subjected to ignorance and greed since the days of slavery. Nothing has changed, just that we are not required to live on the plantation. We were trained to exploit ourselves for goods and money, until this day we continue the chain. Read the W. Last night, I saw Little Gabby on three different television shows and she was beautiful and articulate. Already the money is coming in. What measures are being taken to protect her interest…? I expect her to appear in tv movies and the like. And she will have as many if not more endorsements than Air Jordan and King James……Little Gabby is a Madison Avenue gold mine for years to come…….

    Dear Dr. Watkins,
I humbly ask that you please retract this article and stop spreading unvetted information about your people that tears us down. As a twelve year Veteran of the U.S. Air Force I know for a fact that it is impossible for this man to serve in the arm forces and not pay his child support. This is usually taken out of the serviceman’s check before he even gets it himself. Further, he is serving over seas in a war so all of his paperwork, will, insurance settlements, child support etc. has to be in place before he flies out. This is a ploy to stop this child from getting anymore endorsements and another opportunity for the media to tear down black men. It is ignorance to perpetuate the white man’s ploy to tear us down as a people. Let’s start lifting one another up and stop the hating.

If any of The Enquirer’s claims are true, I hope that there is some way for a court-appointed official to be a financial advisor to Gabby Douglas. In every case, white family or black, the relatives come out of the woodwork like roaches after a crumb of bread when a family member gets a large sum of money. Some one should be looking into the possibility of Gabby’s applying to the courts for emancipation from her parents. Come on, you attorneys and law students. Is there a way to protect Gabby from her family’s greed?

I’m sure that gabby will be fine, gabbys mom has done a wonderful job raising her kids! We as a people have to stop the negative activity. Lots of black men are good fathers, just like lots of black men have abandoned their children and responsibilities to their families. We should all be in prayer for black families everywhere. Encourage our young brothers to think twice before bedding any young lady just willing to give it up and encourage our daughters and neices to protect themselves from unwanted pregnancys. So that we can have healthier family structures,

For all of you man-hating people. This man is an active member of the Mi;litary. In the Military, they do NOT tolerate their members not providing Support. If the other parent is not paying, and the other parent does what they are supposed to (go to Family Court and obtain an order) the Military will deduct what is owed, and they will also ensure that the rightful benefits owed (Housing, Medical, Child Care, if warranted) is provided for. I know of no Military person that gets away with non-support if the other parent does what they are supposed to do. Somebody is lying. Stop bashing the Father. He has a reason for not being there. Like getting shot at in a Foreign Country, in defense of ours.

I do believe that common sense does matter here; as does anything that Almighty GOD allows. It is with great pain and sorrow that too many Black women hate the Black man so very much. The attacks upon Sister Gabby “Golden Girl” Douglas’ hair issue was mostly levied by jealous, mean and enviously hateful spirited Sistas. I do believe that this intra-racist and self-hate demeanor will never ever heal. satan is very busy and at work!

In Genesis and Exodus when GOD set up HIS order of family, HE knew then that in 2012 at the world forum that would be held in London, England-the Douglas family would be Blessed. All of Sister Douglas’ kinetic skills are GOD’s allowances. We need to Pray to FATHER-GOD in the name of JESUS CHRIST that yes her future is secured. Also, her Blessings should be allowed to lift her entire family-custodial of not; to extended even the Iowa extended connection for decades to come. Don’t teach selfishness. Please teach that GOD givers for us to be Blessings to others who need HIS comforting. Instruments receive to give.

Finally, Black men are always the “goat” no matter what transpires in family breeches of divorce, bankruptcy, single-parenting and yes poverty. GOD has Blessed this family as HE has other Olympic Champions. There are times that the past is to be left there and move forward with GOD’s Graces. Pray, Pray,pray-that GOD is in control of all Blessings to uplift all through an event that He Blessed. Take care of all of your family young Miss “Gabby Gold!” Attend Spelman and learn to be a change agent for your community. GOD Blesses us to be a giver not to hoard to some and leave others without. GODspeed!

It is time for the law to come in and protect this child’s money. Some people who helped Gabbie to her success, should be awarded a certain amount by the courts and the rest to be lheld in trust for this young lady until she is at least 21 years old. Her mother and the lady’s home that she lived in, can be awarded but only 10% . Gabby is almost grown. I am assumeing that she has returned to her mother. Her mother may be the nices person in the world, But money changes people. Too many child stars lost their money to changing parents. Yes! they can live higher than they lived before but, the bulk of the money should be protected from all of the voltures who will surrround her and have their hand in the pie. And yes! watch the lawyers also. Good luck Gabbie , we are proud of you.

This is a classic inside look at the black experience. Rather than having compassion for one another, there is hate, devisiveness and retaliation. Often time, the children are used to get even. If he was absent so long, why upon hearing his voice at the trial, look up and dad. She said she was ready to cry when she realized it was him. No one should attempt to erase that. No doubt, mom had a hand in withholding the tickets from his side of the family. Now there is twice the amount of venum swarming around Gabby. Mom has clearly set the agenda, this is mine, mine, I did this, I sacrificed, I did so much. I have to commend both parents. Gabby is well spoken and pranced around with the confidence of a champion. She is our little sweet heart, let us pray for her safe passage through the storm.
