Pepsi Brings Back Michael Jackson For New Ad Campaign

Pepsi has taken a cue from Dr. Dre’s Tupac Hologram and decided to launch a new Pepsi campaign with Michael Jackson.

The soda company is set to announce on  Thursday a deal with the estate of Michael Jackson to use the late pop star’s image for its new global marketing launch. The promotion will include a TV ad, special edition cans, and chances for fans to download remixes of his songs.

Pepsi originally partnered with Michael Jackson in 1983.

The promotion is part of a global marketing blitz planned for the year ahead by Pepsi, which is looking to revive its brand and win back market share from The Coca-Cola Co.

Funny-when MJ had his problems with the child molestation charges, his friends/business partners began abandoning him like the plague. Now that he’s gone, they can now make a ton of money using just his image. It would be nice if his family benefited more from this, but his “estate” is made of lawyers and investors, not his family. The family only gets a monthly “allowance”….

Will the proceeds go to his children? And, I hope they keep it tasteful.
