Ne-Yo Says He Did Not Steal the Name of His R.E.D. Album From Rapper The Game

TMZ caught up with Ne-Yo at the airport to ask him whether or not he stole the name of his R.E.D. album from rapper The Game, whose album, also named R.E.D., was released last year.

“No … I don’t feel like I ripped off The Game’s album” Ne-Yo told TMZ at baggage claim in LAX.

“Until The Game comes up to me and says he has a problem with it, I don’t care what people think” Ne-Yo continued.

Ne-Yo also took the time to point out that he’s not the first artist to re-use someone else’s album title, pointing out that Jay-Z took “The Blueprint” from KRS-One.

The Game is, apparently, fine with Ne-Yo using his album title, saying during an interview that he’s “always known Ne-Yo to be a cool dude, so I’m pretty sure he got his reasoning.”
