Michelle Allegedly Planned to Leave Barack, but Does That Make Her a Bad Wife?
In this video, Nomalanga Mhauli-Moses speaks with Dr. Boyce Watkins about the recent revelation that Michelle Obama drew up divorce papers against Barack Obama and planned to leave him in the year 2000. Does that make her a bad wife or a normal one? The video is below:
I do not think that this makes her a bad wife. I think it makes her a strong wife. I have visited a divorce attorney several times because my husband and I had issues. Sometimes you have to go the extra mile to let your husband know that you are serious.
moved out, filed for divorce, sent my husband the papers, got back together, that is sometimes part of life,when you are together a long time you hit bumps in the road, it is just how you choose to deal with it. if it were true, it seems to have made them stronger…you just have to look at them and see….God bless them
Michelle is a lawyer — what do you expect? Plus, she thought/thinks she is fine and her parents and her personal academic achievements lead her to believe she was/is FAR too good for ANYBODY. In other words, “Barack, shape up or I’m shipping out (to find me a man suitable for the presidency of the United States)”. Looks like my man gave that dead-in, low wage “community organizing” BS up to keep his Amazon Mare.
In the larger context, marriage may be looked upon in much the same way as one would look upon ANY other formal agreement or contractual arrangement. Only that it could be considered much more sacred, involve children and commonly held property, and the two parties were supposed to have become ONE. It also assists the two individuals in achieving a form of status within the stricter, rigid strata of society that is most often not equaled or achieveable in any other sense. Fortunately, a lot of that has changed over time and since we live in a “free secular” society and divorces are easily obtained, divorce papers are required and are an almost natural part of the process of correcting or ending the contract. It’s a lawyer’s dream especially if the party(ies) have DEEP pockets. People, don’t fall for the hype.

Just tells me Michelle and Pres Obama are normal people. They complement and challenge other and that’s a good thing. It is called ” LIFE”- C’est la vie. Ther is so much more to concern ourselves with. Their hearts and heads are in the right place, they have demonstrated that, so lets move on. We sometimes make an issue out of a non-issue.

Everybody always try to make money off others by making up stories thats not true. The way the President and the first Lady embracing each other in public tells me something all together different. It may have been in the beginning of their relationship everybody goes through bumps and obstacles and as I can see they have over came that. So whomever is writing this stuff why don’t you get your own life, and leave others alone, stop putting out poison on others.
Who cares!!! Here we go again making a mole hill into a mountain! No one knows what goes on between a man and a woman in marriage life. We can’t judge their relationship from the outside looking in. Anyone who has been married for any lenght of time know that we can go there in thought, threat or promise. Yet, They are still together!! We all can get on each other last and only nerve…..it just proves she is hue-man and has her limits too.

Why is this important? Why is it a question of whether or not she is a”bad” wife? Obviously he was being a “bad” husband to the point where she had to draw up papers. Come on. This site can be so disappointing sometimes.
