Deion Sanders May Be Charged in Fight with Ex-Wife

Deion Sanders may be facing a new charge related to the fight he got into with his estranged wife Pilar.  Police in Prosper, a town north of Dallas, are requesting that the Collin County District Attorney charge Sanders with criminal mischief.  The charge would be a misdemeanor.

Deion and Pilar are already facing simple assault charges.

Police are saying that Deion admitted to throwing the cell phone belonging to Pilar’s friend. The phone was found smashed outside the house.   Deion says that he was in a kitchen area next to his bedroom when Pilar kicked the door.  He says that his wife then began to slap him, leading him to carry her out of the bedroom by her waist.

As he left the bedroom, Sanders says that Pilar and her friend Dee Boswell started to hit him.  Dee held a cell phone to Deion’s face, and that’s when he said he knocked it away.  Pilar was arrested after being taken to the hospital.  She then spent a night in jail.

Pilar had an injury to her lip, but the officer said that it looks like she might have bit her own lip.  Pilar claims that she came to the house because she hadn’t seen one of her sons for three days.  Pilar’s attorney argues that the arrest was a “complete setup” as the couple decides how to divide their assets in a nasty divorce.

It appears that this is only going to get worse.
