“Basketball Wives” The Movie Headed To Theaters

If you LOVE to HATE Vh1′s Basketball Wives then get ready for the movie!

Shaunie O’ Neal and Tracey Edmonds have signed a deal with Fox Searchlight to take Basketball Wives from the small screen, straight to the BIG screen!

The movie is based on the concept of a “Basketball Wife.”

The film will be centered around a young woman who follows her boyfriend to Miami after he gets drafted into the NBA.

She’s thrust into the world of professional sports and meets and learns from the sisterhood of players’ wives and learns from their trials and tribulations.

Edmonds says, “The beauty of a feature film is that we’ll have the ability to dig much deeper into the stories and characters that come from this very colorful world and create a very juicy action packed narrative.”

Yea it’s not enough to stereo-type black women on the small screen. Why not place the nail in the coffin and place this ignorance on the big screen? That way all of America would think that most black women settle their differences by slapping each other and jumping on tables like a mad dog in heat.

I agree with the previous comment about some of the characters. America spends their money on “drama” so I hope they will get SOME REAL BASKETBALL WIVES to star in their ridiculous movie. And, please send Evelyn back to the projects. She is the one that acts like a mad dog in heat!!!
