5 Students Arrested Per Day in NYC Schools: 90% Black or Latino
During the last three months of the New York school year, an average five school kids were arrested per day. Of the students who were arrested, 90 percent were African American or Latino.
According to an NYPD report, from October 1 to December 31 of 2011, 279 students were arrested and another 532 students were issued summonses.
