NFL Player Admits I AM THE DADDY But Refuses To Take Care Of Child Financiallly

He’s admitted to fathering her child, but American Football star Roddy White refuses to give mother Stacey Hott any financial assistance.

The Atlanta Falcons wide receiver was handed a paternity suit early last December, when Hott claimed he had fathered her five-month-old boy.

The 30-year-old has since admitted that he IS the father of her child but refuses to hand over any child support money.

White filed legal documents in Georgia earlier this month acknowledging he did father a child with a Georgia banker named Stacey Hott and he’s willing to accept responsibility.

But, according to documents seen by U.S. website TMZ, White isn’t ready to start paying child support just yet despite Hott’s claim that he’s capable of providing a “generous” amount due to his massive NFL salary.

Stacey Hott said about NFL star, White, in early December: ‘[White] is a professional athlete capable of providing generous support for the minor child commensurate with his earnings.’

She also urged Roddy to take out a life insurance policy for the “benefit of the minor child.”

In 2009 Roddy White signed a six-year contract to play as wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons for $50 million.

If he and Hott fail to come to a settlement, it will be left to a judge to decide Roddy’s payments.

It will be interesting to see what a judge will offer as the right mix. There are standards available in each state that suggest what it takes to rear a child. If the child was in foster care what would that standard be?

Ms. Hott might be thinking that her child deserves something other than the state standard. Through his effort Roddy White worked to place himself in position to sign a contract. This event that Hott is promoting was not part of White’s world when he signed the $50 million contract. If she asserts that White has financial capacity is she willing to have this child in his care so that the minor can truly benefit or is she saying that White needs to make her and the child whole. Is this a case of abuse of an underage person? Who is Stacey Hott?

Ummm no, she laid down just as well, locking him up is not the solution! I wish ppl would read and take HEED to the Word of God. Unmarried sex causes nothing but strife, if he’s not trying to wife u, why are we opening our legs and giving these men our all. Being a baby mama is not what’s happenin’! I am by no way a holy saint, however I just hate to see when ppl make their own life hard…..

This is what give brothers a bad name.Their are simply and shamefully to many brothers like him around. What makes it so bad is that brothers like this are high profile and seem to like the limelight.I know of a brother thats been running from the child support people for at least 5yrs.And yes the brother loves the limelight, even speaks in public about why “Blacks folks need to be African-centered”and” how we need to treat each other like family”.Nigger Please, saying lofty words and abandoning your children is about low as you can get.Our situation as a people is bad enough and then we’ve got so called CONSCIOUS brothers abandoning and hiding from their children.Brother all up in kwanzaa talking about being family and African centered. SADLY, this guy is the coordinator of that kwanzaa program. The point being made is that we’ve got to stop the B.S. and faking and shaking all to be in the limelight and get serious about our children as well as the peoples struggle.

    Sanyika,

I think there is enough blame to go around. She gets no sympathy from me. I think what they need to do with this child support is this. Give those women a card just like they do these welfare folks and then track where she’s spending the money. Allow x for rent and x for food. Then they need to cut the access from her. His job is to take care of his child not her. I do think also if he had any sense at all he would try to work out something with her without getting the white man involved. If he knows it’s his he’s got to have enough common sense to know it’s his job to take care of his child. I think they are both foolish.

I believe child support is the least of the problem. My issue is whether he’s active in the child’s life which is more important. I’m sure she’s making a life for the child without his help now. In my opinion, if I need a judge to make you support your child then I don’t want your money. It’s his loss! Just because a child has a parent that’s a celebrity does mean they must live a celebrated life in order to live a fulfilled life. The limelight isn’t for everyone.
