Jada Pinkett Smith Supposedly Hires Celebrity Divorce Attorney

Despite denying divorce rumors back in August, it appears that Will and Jada Pinkett Smith may be finally going their separate ways — at least according to In Touch Weekly.

The magazine is reporting that Jada Smith recently met with celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who has represented the likes of Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, and Kim Kardashian.

A source tells In Touch that Smith has “finally begun to take steps to dissolve their marriage,” even reportedly turning down a role in Keanu Reeves directorial debut to spend time with her kids during this “difficult time.”

The magazine first reported that Will and Jada had separated in August after 13 years of marriage. The pair issued a statement in response to the allegations: “Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact.”

The star couple have two kids, Jaden and Willow — whose careers were reportedly at the root of the Smiths’ marital problems — and Will Smith has one son from a previous marriage.

If Jada has indeed met with Wasser, she’ll be in good hands. Here are 10 other celebrities that Wasser has represented:

  1. I don’t know why they’re breaking up but rumor has it that Will wants to be player and a married man at the same time. At any rate losing someone as beautiful as Jada Pickett and two talented children (because divorce essentially means divorce from them also) has to weigh heavy on his mind.

    • That’s the problem with rumors, because one week Will wants to be a player and the next week Jada is caught mixing it up with Marc Anthony. This article says its the kids careers. Who knows what the reason or even if it will happen, however, if it does it won’t be a rumor anymore (I’m sure all will be kept quiet over the reasons for a divorce).

  2. In a recently published book entitled, “In His Own Image: Understanding and Enjoying the Full Complement of Salvation,” I argue that there are only two ways to think, and subsequently, only two ways to live life: “God’s way” and “man’s way.” The Bible spells out God’s way line upon line and precept upon precept,. On the one hand, the voice of God in Deuteronomy 30:19 spells out how God feels about living life, and gives man the option to choose life so that he and his descendants can live. On the other hand, man’s way is a curious mixture of fact and fiction. The choice is an individual one, and a person’s position and / or power does not change anything.
The voice of God spoken through Solomon in Proverbs 16:25 spells out a striking contrast to God’s way, and leaves the door to choice standing ajar.

The fact that Will and Jada have reached the inevitable cross-road that follows Solomon’s edict in Proverbs 16, only validates the word of God in Galatians 6:7.

That said, the problem with which we are faced–also argued in my book with precision and power–is that the Bible is only for the organized church and Christians at large. The Bible was written to the world for the Church. Therefore, everybody has access. For more on this subject, open the above mentioned website and read my book.

  4. This is their personal life and let them do whatever they want. If they want not to live together it is their wish.

  5. See this is PRIME EXAMPLE everyone at Whitney Houston’s Funeral spoke about, CELEBS are people, just like you and I, they just happen have a career that a great deal of you all would like to have, just think if the shoe was on the other foot, would you want to gossiped and criticized, by the masses, including their supposed fans? THEY are PEOPLE and just because their careers are public, their public life is NOOOO ones Business. What if someone put your personal business at work or at home in the public eye what would they find, and criticize?
