Brother of Cowboys Wide Receiver Clings To Life After Being Shot In Head
Kevin Ogletree of the Dallas Cowboys is distraught after hearing that his older brother, Calvin, was shot in the head in broad daylight on Friday. Kevin, 24, took to Twitter to request prayer after hearing about the incident, which took place in New York. Calvin, 25, was allegedly shot in an argument over money outside his luxury car rental shop, located in Queens.
After the shooting, Calvin was taken to Jamaica Hospital and listed in critical condition. Two suspects were seen fleeing on bikes at 3 pm.
“I heard one or two pops,” said one eye witness to the shooting.
“I didn’t know if it was gunshots. Then I saw some excitement. I got a streak of fear. I saw a bunch of people running and screaming,”he said.

Once again we are called to pray for one of our own. Please pray for Calvin and the whole Ogletree family.
If PRAYERS is the solution to the greed, and envy which leads to the so much violence in the African societies, then we just keep on praying. Only I know that “heaven helps those who help themselves”, this known truth is omitted from the books of the faith!
The Pride of “his luxury car rental shop” because a brother is a super star who brings millions home breeds jealousy in our poor community.
But a “cheap car manufacture shop” breeds love for the employers of these poor ghetto killers”
I also love the family Ogletree , and so wish them all EXTRAS they need in these special days.
I believe your comments mean well, but they really are not very helpful or factual. You blame the tragedies and violence in so called “African societies” on greed and envy but you give no facts to support your contention. The Bible, which you may or may not accept, says that “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (1 Timothy 6:10) Note that it does not specify “African societies”. Also nowhere in the Bible, or any other sacred text that I’m aware of does it state what “Only you know that heaven helps those who help themselves.” You call this a “known truth” that was “omitted from the books of faith”. First of all, anyone who uses common sense and gives it any thought realizes that statement is untrue. Heaven is not a helper. God through His Holy Spirit is THE Helper. If the statement was true, babies, the elderly, and anyone sick or afflicted would never get help from God if they were unable to help themselves, and I know of no intelligent person who really believes that. To claim that because a particular statement is not in the Bible, it “was omitted” as if that somehow lessens the credibility of the book makes no sense. Based on your criteria, anything and everything that isn’t in the Bible was “omitted”. The fact is there are many things attributed to the Bible that are not there, such as “cleanliness is next to godliness”, or “God won’t put more on you than you can bear”. Were they also “omitted?” I’d suggest that you restrict your comments to things you know. You seem to jump to conclusions in your remarks, regarding the incident in question, ” the pride of his luxury car rental shop because a brother is a superstar who brings millions home breeds jealousy in our poor community”, and your assertion that “a cheap car manufacture shop breeds love for the employers of these poor ghetto killers” is as demeaning and as insulting as can be. You say you “love the family Ogletree” but I can’t help wondering how much love they’d feel if they read your remarks. I hope in the future you give more thought to your words and choose them more carefully before using them. Meanwhile I’ll add my prayers to those being sent up based on God’s Word. “HE sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. – Psalm 107:20. “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” – John 10:10
