School Band Played ‘Dixie’ at a Site Where Three Black Men were Lynched in 1906

There’s nothing like playing the song “Dixie” to remind us of a time when lynching black people was a source of entertainment. Interim President Clif Smart says that the song was an “unfortunate selection” and that it won’t be played again in public by the band.
