Is Rev. Al Sharpton Swimming in Debt?

The New York Post is reporting that Rev. Al Sharpton is deep in debt. According to public records, Sharpton’s non-profit organization, The National Action Network, paid him $242,000, even as it stands on $1.6 million in debt. Public records also show, according to the Post, that Sharpton and his organization have a combined debt level of $5.3 million.
The post is also reporting that Sharpton has $880,000 in unpaid federal payroll taxes, interest and penalties. Additionally, NAN was forced to pay $100,000 to settle two lawsuits related to unpaid bills. Sharpton also allegedly owes $2.6 million in income tax and nearly $900,000 in state taxes.
Sharpton and his team say that payment plans have been worked out with the federal government.
The New York Post, a conservative newspaper, has a few credibility problems when it comes to Sharpton. The company is owned by Rupert Murdoch, the man who also owns Fox News. Murdoch’s news organization, News of the World (in Britain), was accused of hacking phones and engaging in other unethical behavior to obtain news stories. Some speculate that they have a vendetta against Al Sharpton, particularly as the 2012 elections approach.
He is always speaking accross the country and now has a tv program. It is not good when you become the news. He has to corret this!

I wonder why MSNBC hired him……Most credible companies would not hire you when you are head over the hill in debit…………….Maybe he is in debit like most of Americans are……Faux No News owners who own NY Post are probably exaggerating……
Thanks for the New York Post for such a FREE PR Fundraising Campaign that Rev. Sharpton could not have put together better himself now for people across the country to rally around his financial aid. I guess we will soon see the Post complain that after clearing the debt that they were not given proper credit for being the stimulus behind Rev. Sharpton new influx of funding. But for now Rev. Sharpton, just enjoy the increase in speaking requests and calls of new financial support that you were not getting until this latest feature by the post !!
But I thought he was a coorporate benefator just like the rest of the 3-peice-suit gang. He should up his deal with walmart, or wells fargo…
I was so glad to see MSNBC hire Rev. Sharpton to host his own show, but I also thought of a former MSNBC host namely Keith Olbermann. It is rumored that he was fired by a new CEO from MSNBC (which is actually a staunch Conservative connected with Fox News) because Olbermann was becoming too harsh against the right. This has caused me to think that because of who Rev. Sharpton is, and his history with the Civil Rights movement this particular CEO and the powers that be (Murdoch) will eventually lodge an attack upon him. In fact, they may be setting him up in order to do just that. If he is deeply in debt as your article infers he will be at their mercy and this just may be their devilish plan against the good reverend.
We continue to see this pattern from Fox news and any media outlets of newspapers they own. The Young Man with the now Key Build The Dream who Glen Beck went nuts about until they pushed him to resign from the administration. Basically anyone who exposes the TRUTH and Rev Al is doing an Outstanding Job of delivering the TRUTH to America with his Charts & Graphs, Talking to Everyday people and telling the real truth about what’s happen to Ordinary Americans.

FoxNews is in trouble by itself. It’s anchors are now at a loss which GOP candidate should be endorsed. Early this year I wrote GOP had poor or unelectable candidates and e-mailed FoxNews. They did not believe me. I was right. GOP has gone through sifting candidates only to end up with Newt Gingrich. Republican elites are whining why they should end up with Newt as GOP nominee. They know very well Newt is going to lose the election big against President Obama. Even Newt’s kids and relatives are crying why their father or uncle ever should be on the ballot at all. They argue he is a cheater, liar, inhuman, adulterer and outright mental case. I am told TEA Partiers and hard core republicans are drifting away from Newt, their candidate. They think Newt is air head. I agree with them. I am asking all Republicans, TEA Partiers and all American people to join me re-elect President Obama.
Rev Al is a disgrace to himself or did you idiots forget bralley? Now he’s broke but he’s your leader. With education hopefully you won’t need these kind of websites
Rev Al is not a disgrace and the Bralla matter has long been forgiven, you know as in Christians forgive and Rev. Al Has demonstrated and worked hard to prove that he is a man of God first and that he believes in and works hard for JUSTICE. Rev. Al has always been faithful to the cause of Freedom and Justice. Of course talking is cheap when you are not willing to put your “BUT” on the line to help others and fight for Justice.
Hang in there Rev. Al, just remember, as the scripture says, “No weapon formed against me, shall prosper, No it won’t work”
