Government-funded researchers tested AIDS drugs on hundreds of foster children over the past two decades, often without providing them a basic protection afforded in federal law and required by some states, an Associated Press review has found.The research funded by the National Institutes of Health spanned the country. It was most widespread in the 1990s as foster care agencies sought treatments for their HIV-infected children that weren’t yet available in the marketplace.

what a shame! taking advantage of the abandan and unwanted with no one to stand up for them. it’s bad enough that we have a hard time finding placement for children that are not deformed or infected mentally or physically. Now What???
I’m sure it’s just by chance that most were Black. Since the Tuskeekee project where the Gov. injected Black men with STD’s just to see what the results would be, uncle sam has no respect for it’s own Constitution declaring men to be men and not some being guinea pigs. Shame on Sam.
I’m not suprise at this!!! They didn’t say if all the children were African Americans. But I know during slavery they used slaves for medical research. Read the book Medical Apartheid. It will chill you to the bone to know some of the harsh treatment that was done to slaves. This one reason you hear of some African American say they don’t trust doctors.

In my op its is incumbent upon parents to seek info and share info about all health issues..This is a each one teach one issue ..Now granted, often its the teen who must educ the parent? In most new papers et/al our people are falling victim to STUDIES” paid studies(chump change) if they would participate in a STUDY for a new drug. The sadder issue is that some adults are bringing their children to emergency rooms and allowing those so called professionals to use their children as guinea pigs without asking questions.
i am an on-call sexual assualt nurse examine,r one of only 3 in my county and the only Afrikan..Trust me i work around Doctors from all over the world and some of the conversations many have had with me would make anyone vomit. .As i have said and will continue to say..The colonizer and some arrogant others have only one desire..To wipe thre Afrikan off of the face of the earth..WE ARE NEXT MY SPANISH SPEAKING BRO/SIS! Last this is what i know and what i believe WHY? because it has been demonstrated worldwide and more so since Barak Obama came to sojourn in the house his ancestors built…Just sayin
