Feds Want To See Barry Bonds Behind Bars For Lying

The feds want to put home run king Barry Bonds, convicted on an obstruction of justice charge by a San Francisco jury earlier this year, in the clink.

Assistant United States Attorneys Matthew Parrella and Jeff Nedrow asked U.S. District Court Judge Susan Illston to sentence the steroid-stained slugger to a federal prison for 15 months in court papers filed late Thursday.

Bonds was convicted of obstruction of justice in April for what prosecutors said was evasive testimony during his 2003 testimony before the BALCO grand jury.
