Metta World Peace, formerly Ron Artest, has added his support to the growing consensus among disgruntled NBA players that Michael Jordan is no longer one of them.
“We’re the same guys that looked up to Michael Jordan when we were kids,” he said,” said the L.A. Laker small forward. “Same guys that wanted to fly like Mike and be like Mike. Even though guys are with other companies, they still love Mike. Love his sneakers and everything. Guys just felt like he didn’t support us when we needed him most. He’s an owner now, so I guess he’s just on the other side.”
We all remember his days with the Chicago Bulls; as a player he was perfect. He lead his team to a record 72 win season and 6 championships. His jump-shot was unstoppable, he could fly to the rim and his defense was exceptional. A ruthless competitor whom was known for taking no prisoners, everybody wanted to “be like Mike”.
