Bank Hired Deputies and Movers Refuse To Evict 103-year-old Woman [VIDEO]

Vita Lee, 103, has shared her northwest Atlanta home with her 83-year-old daughter for 53 years.

Deutsche Bank planned to evict the women Tuesday, but the movers and Fulton County sheriff’s deputies sent to the home did not remove them, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Lee, whose 104th birthday is three weeks away, told Channel 2 that she was not worried about being kicked out of her Penelope Road home.

“No, I knew that they know what they were doing. God don’t let them do wrong,” she said.

The situation seemed to affect Lee’s daughter, who was rushed to the hospital Tuesday, Channel 2 said.

The legal fight over eviction started in 2009 and stems from a second mortgage taken out years ago by another family member, the report said. Lee hopes a deal can be reached so she can remain in her home.

“I love it. It’s a mansion,” she said.

The banks have no shame. Take you $ out people and open a bank acct at the credit union. The banks got a federal bailout in the billions and did nothing to help people with mortgage problems while enriching themselves with fed $.

The Credit Unions are full of shit too. What black americans need to do is start trusting each other with our money and we don’t need no banks or any credit union. Other races when they come to this country they don’t go to anybanks or credit Unions., they have family and friends who come up with the money and help out to start something. I seen these action personally over-seas. We as a race need to stop being greedy, start educating our families, neighbors and love ones about money and also support Africa too. They still our brothas and sistas. We as African Americans spend at least a trillion of dollars every year to support other races of merchants and their products and especially Black friday and Cyber Monday, In a matter of fact we need to boycott that name Black Friday and tell merchants to change it. I’m not trying to be rude but how come it’s not called White friday, Green friday , Yellow friday, Brown friday? Yall get my drift something is wrong. ” Check! ” So in closing I love how that woman smile at the end of the story. God bless her soul. Everything will be alright. God Bless the Child That Got Their Own! (Billy holiday) “Check!”

We must achieve, but to what end?
The Sheriffs, All US Policing Agencies, Politicians, Banks, Wall Street, Anglo-elite, Jewish Aristocrats, and finally African-American (traitorous)”leaders”. Name your poison! We are caught up in such deep corruption secrets, deception, and lies that even many of us cannot see the light of day. How did it all begin and who planned it? I honestly believe we could follow the chain of events and connect the dots all the way back to Great Britain and the lies we have been born to believe. It is important that education be limited and misguided. It is important that religious belief is in-steeled in our psyche. It is important that people forget what they should remember and that we should all just keep trying to achieve, but to what end?

I so agree. People with a lot of money are not living in the real world. If I won the lottery tomorrow, I know I would help a lot of people because we all need help. America’s priorites are screwed up. When you pay a teacher $25,000/yr. & pay a ballplayer $80 million/yr., something is definitely wrong. Then when you take into account all the stealing, thievery, fraud, etc., within the political community, all we can do is shake our head. These freakin banks have been out of control for a long time & now its out. Now they’re trying to steal as much as they can before the revolution really gets underway & you know the revolution will not be televised.

Don’t take this woman’s home. At 103 years old, she deserves to continue living in her home. If another family member took out a second mortgage on her home, it is not her fault. I also agree with the comment above. Athletes are overpaid and most don’t know what to do with he money anyway. How many cars can you drive at one time – ONE!!!

Not everybody giving our money to these banks or credit unions is not the way to go. What we need to do is form our own situation and stop putting our money in these insitutions that don’t support our dreams and communities. Did you know that for every dollar you put in the banks or credit unions the banks/Credit Unions makes 9 dollars. And they use these dollars and loan your money to somebody else so basically just to let everybody know if somebody is using your money and you tell them to hold it for you and soon you find out that they are using your money to create wealth but your not getting any thing but a raise of a percent or 1 cent in saving then that should tell you something , they don’t respect you or your money. I’m just dropping this Knowledge. Check!

Your comment is total incorrect, the bank pays the Fed close to nothing to borrow short term money to lend on, here is a question if you were a depositor in the bank that holds the mortgage on this house, what would you tell the bank forget it let her live there and also keep my money you don’t have to pay me my money back until she pays you back, Bull shit you would be the loudest one screaming give me my money give me my money, what kind advise are you giving telling people not to put there money in banks, no lets all give it to you seeing were you know so much, no depositor has lots not a penny of there money in a bank that went out of business the government sees to that

@david jb: idk…i cant be sure that the son who took out the mortgage actually had poa. But even in the event that he did there is a thing called honor. When this woman purchased the home payin off the balance she established a history of credit. She needed a home she bought it. And according to she apparently had no other mortgages after that. That the bank didnt consider why a 100 year old woman would need a second mortgage just seems typical of the unethical lending practices/scams(no credit checks..unconfirmed income) that has ravaged americans. The minute her son walked into the bank to secure the loan the account should hve been flagged. When the first payment was missed action should have been taken against the son and not the mother. Sure the bank is acting within their legal rights but they are ethically and morally negligent.

What the bank and police were supposed to do is go after the son (who as I recall that is who took out the loan illegally) for fraud. He should be in jail, an insurance claim should have been filed, and the woman should not be evicted. That son should be in prison. Oprah should not be called on to save her, its not her job to save every person wronged by their own family! But really, the law should be after that son instead of punishing the mother for what HE DID. Glad these men have a sense of decency.

Am I reading your comment correctly your writing that even if the family member did do wrong, that he shouldn’t go to jail, that the bank should pay because there wrong..

Lets see the bank would be wrong if they didn’t lend the money, now there wrong because they did lend the money, if there was a fraud which i will bet there wasn’t, because they said this has been going on for close to three years, the bank would have removed the lean if they lent money to some that didn’t own the home, were not being told the fully story there is a lot missing, like the $60,000 Mercedes car on the lawn who’s car is that. Or am i wrong for even commenting on that, i mean the mother or the daughter do have to get a around why not in a $60,000 benz, right,

Did i see a $60,000 car on the lawn who’s car is that, she has no right to ask not to be evicted, and the bank has no right to ok we wont, there are investors in that bank and thats there money she spent, Im not saying she needs to go but, this has been going on since 2009 this is no shock to them. She looks pretty good for 104 years old, Id like to see that birth, cert.. if were all equal in this life, then she should get no preferred treatment, her community should get together and raise the money to help this woman, not one person, this is about right and wrong and helping out your community, they borrowed money and didn’t pay it back now there in the wrong, so the community needs to step up, not the bank, they need there money bank.

@ John d, don’t know what you are or where you from, but at 104 yrs young this woman has seen and endured more hell in this country than any of you who rode over on the decks of ships and not in the belly could or would ever endure, No black person over 99 yrs old in this country should ever have to pay a dime for the basic needs required to live out the rest of their lives happily. Blacks have done all the leg and hard work in this country and have never been compinsated for it. She may have breast feed your mother or father, you slaves had to do that sometimes. Blacks have always had to pay 10 times more than whites that way the banks could give white the freebies (credit card) buy houses that they never pay for. Bankruptcy good for whites, bad for Blacks, Rent to own, pay day loans created for Blacks by the Banks. But don’t be fooled these places are owned by BANKS . That way they can charge 32 to 75 % interest and not worry about being bought up on criminal charges. Loan Sharkin was illigal, what happened did you vote it in? I bet you would’ve pulled the woman out of bed and toke her to the homeless shelter right John. That’s why you have more homeless people in this country but you can’t find a homeless ( stray )dog or cat. Dammmmmmn only in the USA

You want to know where the celebrities and other people that have money, such as Oprah are at a time like this? Well, they are certainly not sitting on their asses, reading every article that appears on the INTERNET, and certainly not sitting around discussing, and complaining about what someone else should do with their own damn money. Some of you stupid ass people, actually believe others owe you something, and you want to tell anyone that ‘s Black, and have some money, what they should be doing with it. Why don’t you lazy ass idiots, get off your damn behinds, and go earn your own money, and let’s see then if you’d let some jackass tell you what to do with it. Yes, this is certainly a sad case, and I would surely give some help to these old women, but neither Oprah, Tyler Perry, or anyone else is obligated to come to the aid of every Tom, Dick, and Mary. The only people responsible for this action, is the bank, who are foreclosing on these elderly people.

This is shameful. I am so happy that someone had the DECENCY not to put this lady and her daughter on the streets. I am, however, concerned about how the situation came to this point. SURELY, there is a responsible, niece, cousin, auntie, son, nephew or uncle somewhere that had enough common sense to not let this happen. The second mortgage was taken out and it has to be repaid. In the black community we have always relied on FAMILY, blood relatives, extended family and close friends. I feel that this was FAMILY’s responsibility, not Oprah or Tyler, they can’t work to take care of the African American community. We are not ENTITLED to anything; everything you accomplish, purchase or obtain, has to be through sacrifice and work. This is what we don’t understand. It is not easy.
