A new campaign in the U.S. is targeting cross-racial costumes they say are inappropriate.
A group named Students Teaching About Racism in Society has launched a poster series called “We’re a culture, not a costume.”
It features students of varying ethnic backgrounds holding up photos of costumes depicting their individual cultures. They include a Japanese girl holding a photo of a woman dressed as a geisha, and a Middle Eastern teen holding up an image of someone dressed as a suicide bomber.
